H,
It all comes about because
we do not yet know what the Kingdom is. We have vague ideas but nothing whole. I
think we sort of invent the aspects that fit into our own personality. We have
to be aware that our personality is fallen and misshapen. It is bent out of
shape by the pressure and influence of the fallen world around us. Take money
for example. If you are born poor you may think that the gospel, or part of it,
is to lift souls out of poverty and scarcity. If you are born rich you might
think that the gospel is to lift you out of the futility of material wealth and
into meaning and, perhaps, some penury. These are archetypes but you know what I
mean. Both stances are, however, very wrong.
The gospel of the impending
Kingdom is about the state of the soul and the awakening of the spirit. The physical
reality is always subject to that process. It is like when the Apostle tells us
to watch our mouths because they reveal what we really think. The Soul care and
Spiritual awakening will show out in the way we act. There is nothing physical
we can do to force this along. We will be where we will be.
What is within our purview
is to want this great change. It is not a change only in the human soul but in
the nature of reality. It is a re-creation and merger of both Heaven and earth.
It is the yearning for the manifestation of the Sons of God foretold in
scripture. This has nothing to do with wealth creation or paradigm shifts or
power changing hands. In the truest sense, power has never changed hands. All that
has been happening is the reformation of the human soul.
We are not the drivers of
the process. We are dead souls being brought alive to it. To revel, to discover
and to be caught up in the glory.
