F,

When bad things happen, it is easy to fall into despair. In fact that seems to be the exact order of things. A disaster followed by fear and despair.

But you have been given the spirit of strength.

I cannot say for sure, but I think this same verse arrived in both our lives at very similar times. So drummed into me was it that it became my outcry in moments of pure panic, whether I knew it to be true or not. I could not always explain what it meant, but I knew there must be some insight held within for merely recollecting it brought me an immeasurable amount of peace.

We are taught all our lives to take stock of what is around us and make that the source of our wisdom and direction, a most logical pursuit. Now we have steadily arrived to the place and time that defies logic, and have been told to forgo these external sources and pursue the ethereal instead. What a time.

Sometimes the logic fights hard against the ethereal within us. We are terrified by knowledge that comes from an indecipherable source. But the logic of this world has long since been corrupted and putting one’s faith in it can end no where else but in disaster. The indecipherable becomes more clear, more distinct each day that we step closer to it. It is not to be known in its entirety in this plane, that much is true. But it is to be known.

I pray it is clearer to you today. I pray your wisdom goes further than eyes can see and logic can comprehend. I pray fear and despair give way to peace and strength. Amen.
