H,
Of course we do not go on in
a vacuum and then on to nothing. We grow toward a life of living up and out. There
is no need for talking if it does not all lead to living. Endless speculation
is not the point of Christianity. Eternal life is.
Still, we cannot discount
the sacred fruit of contemplation. We grow from the inside and then out. All growth
is in the dark and alone soil of God. We share notes on the experience, have community
and communion so we can help each endure through the tough spots and necessary
falls but we reach our heights in constant communication and openness in God.
Christ bid us to pray in
private. It was not only to avoid the great show of religion we are all overtly
or covertly addicted to but as an indication of what it must be like to only
connect the prose and the passion of God so that both may be exalted.
There are all these
delicious and joyful things of the spirit to share with the world. First, let
us allow God share them with us.
One on one.
