On Monday 12th June 2023, the first of Logia Books’ for-sale publications will be available to readers in our bookstore. The political fiction novel 8 Years by Forri Samson Banu is the first volume of an 8-part series outlining an alternative political history of modern-day Nigeria.
This volume follows the first full and elected year of the presidency of Richard Edewor Williams, the president of this narrative, as he navigates the seen and unseen obstacles of governance in Nigeria. Written in a style of daily entries starting from inauguration day, we follow his triumphs and travails as he grapples with occupying the highest office in the land while trying to do the things he considers to be important to the future of his country.
In line with the style of the novel, we will be sharing excerpts from each day of the story on our website. All the excerpts we share up to the novel’s release on the 12th of June will be permanently available on our website. However, every excerpt shared after that will only be available for the day.
