The troubles are always in front of us, and we can never escape into anything, except we escape into love. Love is all there is. To be known, at the core of your very being, to be understood, to be heard, to be respected, to get the kindness you need when you need it, which is always, to be held in an absolute embrace that truly defines your soul is at the root of this yearning that is replicated, quite poorly, in the strong lust for anything and everything.

We cannot merely find it in each other. We are close enough to learn it and to turn that divine highlight into each other, but we get it first from embracing the true love situated at the heart of God. The bold and emphatic statement: God is love. It means everything came from love and everything is going back to love. It means, again, way beyond the present press and need to feel something, love is all there is.
