H,

To be open is easier said than done. We pray in these tones of almost fake adulation for a deity who cannot be hoodwinked by praise. God, as we perceive Him, is not in need of words that speak of greatness. He does not need the great “big-up”. All the worship and praise in the world is inferior to one solid moment of your open heart to that heavenly grace.

We are not raised that way. We are in the curve of history that lives on “best foot forward” and the “impersonal but personal” rhetoric of the social media space. We are always “creating and recreating” ourselves in different spaces and so we have lost our singular soul. We need to be in one place to open up to the healing that is eternally promised.
