Prayer is the act of connecting with God. There can be no falsehood here. We cannot come to our knees until we are ready to bow. We cannot say the words until they come from our hearts. We cannot do prayer without opening up.
It is more than confession. It is not a long list of our sins. It is saying what we really thing about everything and starting with ourselves. The creator of the Universe is not afraid and cannot be offended by what lies in our tiny brains. God can take it. We are the ones holding back grace. We are the ones hiding in the shadows. The light has been here all along.
