H,
And then we come to how we treat each other in the most intimate of settings. Love has nothing to do with our perfect selves. It has to do with how we are now. Love means nothing if it is not in the context of what we lack. It is about how fallen and ugly we can be and how that translates into the journey we go on with lovers, siblings, friends, and everyone one in our way.
In all these relationships, we are afraid to be the great letdown. There is a lot to lose, in the perception game, in acting as we truly are. Yet, there is nothing to lose in love with being ourselves. There may be disappointment in those honest conversations, but the true change must start with us. If we feel we want more love, we must love more. We must learn to be open about who we are without fear. Love will do its work with the cracks that appear.
