Salvation and redemption are ours. Hallelujah. But we must not succumb to our weaker selves because we have been saved.

We are saved by an everlasting sacrifice. We mustn’t disrespect it by clinging to our wrongdoings. There is no joy or peace to be found there. Abstaining from this broken path is important and daily repentance is necessary.

Everyday we must actively turn towards God, away from all sin and temptation. We must beg His forgiveness. We must surrender to His grace which is our only hope. We must do all this with sincerity and contrition.

He sees the truth of our heart. He knows when we are truly seeking His forgiveness and when we are simply saying the words. We have a father who is moved by things concerning us. He is moved when He sees us depart from the path that is right for us. He is moved when He sees us facing the consequences of our actions. He is moved when He sees us battered and bruised by the world. And He calls us to Him everyday, to live under the banner of His grace, under His care and His watchful eye, because of His love for us.
